About the company

Four DEC certification categories. Full residential and commercial coverage.

North Shore Eco-Pest Solutions does pest control the way it's supposed to work: inspect thoroughly, explain honestly, fix the conditions, and treat only where treatment is warranted. We handle the full range — termites, rodents, ants, stinging insects, ticks and mosquitoes, and commercial food-facility programs — across Suffolk County's North Shore.

Who you're hiring

Inspection is where the job is won or lost. Crawl spaces, sill plates, and roof junctions get walked properly on every account — because a treatment plan written without them is a guess.

Steve Rocco Tardalo founded and leads North Shore Eco-Pest Solutions, and holds the DEC certifications the company operates under. Direct owner involvement on every account is a deliberate standard: when you call, you reach someone who knows your property — not a scheduler reading from a script, and not a sales rep who never sees the job.

That standard is what customers consistently name in reviews: continuity. Someone who remembers your property, what was found last time, and what was recommended — rather than a stranger reading a work order in your driveway.

Licensing and certification

New York State requires commercial pesticide applicators to be certified by category, and the categories matter — a company certified only for general structural work isn't legally certified to do termite soil treatment or to service a food-handling facility.

What "eco-forward" means here

It doesn't mean we refuse to use pesticides. It means we follow integrated pest management: identify the pest correctly, understand why it's there, eliminate the entry points and conditions supporting it, and then apply material in a targeted way where it's genuinely needed.

In practice that translates to sealing before spraying, choosing baits and non-repellent chemistry over broadcast application where the situation allows, directing product at harborage rather than open surfaces, and timing applications to protect pollinators. Less material, applied more precisely, usually works better — that's the honest reason to do it, alongside the environmental one.

No long-term contracts

National chains lock customers into annual agreements with cancellation penalties, because it's easier to retain an account than to earn it. We don't. Memberships run month to month, cancellation terms are disclosed in writing before you sign anything, and we comply with New York's auto-renewal notice requirements under GBL §527-a.

Service area

We are a service-area business with no storefront, covering Suffolk County's North Shore: Northport, East Northport, Huntington, Halesite, Centerport, Greenlawn, Cold Spring Harbor, Fort Salonga, Commack, Kings Park, Smithtown, Melville, Saint James, and Stony Brook. Hours are 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, seven days a week.
