This policy explains what information North Shore Eco-Pest Solutions collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than boilerplate.

Who we are

What you give us
When you submit our contact form or request a quote, we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email address, property address, and whatever you tell us about the pest issue. We collect it because we cannot quote or schedule a service without it.
If you become a customer, we keep service records including treatment dates, products applied, and inspection findings. New York State requires licensed applicators to maintain pesticide application records, and we retain those for the period the law requires.
What is collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records some technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site or search that referred you. This is standard web server and analytics data.
Analytics and advertising tools
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site. It sets cookies and collects usage data on our behalf. You can opt out across all sites with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We use Google Search Console, which reports how our pages perform in search results. It does not identify individual visitors to us.
We may use advertising tools from Google and from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) that place cookies or similar technologies to measure whether an ad led to a visit or an inquiry, and to show ads to people who have visited this site. To limit interest-based advertising, adjust your settings at adssettings.google.com and in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or share your contact details with other pest control companies, lead generators, marketing lists, or data brokers. We do not send marketing texts or emails to people who have not asked to hear from us.
When we share information
Only in these situations: with service providers who operate parts of our business on our behalf, such as our website host, form processor, and scheduling or invoicing software; when a customer asks us to provide documentation to a third party, such as a wood-destroying insect report for a real estate closing; and when we are legally required to, such as a lawful request from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation or a court order.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become customers are kept for a reasonable period in case you contact us again, then discarded. Customer service records are kept as long as New York's pesticide record-keeping requirements demand, and as long as needed to honor warranties and service agreements.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, which encrypts information in transit. We limit access to customer records to people who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure and we will not claim otherwise — but we do not store payment card numbers on this website.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we are legally required to keep. You can ask to be removed from any list at any time. Email steve@northshoreecopest.com or call (631) 223-8455 and we will handle it.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Doing so will not prevent you from using this site.
Children
This site is intended for adults arranging services for a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes are reflected here rather than announced individually.
